The Living , Breathing Gospel

God’s creation reflects His genius,
all around us, everywhere;
like the flowers in the springtime
waking up in their earthly tombs,
a cavalcade of colors,
being birthed from nature’s womb.

Lightning proclaims the Father’s power,
the rainbows His grace, the Father’s love,
the stars reflect His goodness,
a kaleidoscope of diamonds sparkling above.

Man’s need for relationships
is not an evolution thing,
it comes straight from the Trinity
where relationships are powered and begin.

Government wasn’t man’s idea,
it was birthed by God in the family,
in the Garden of Eden through Adam and Eve.

Looking all around us it is ugly what we see,
a cacophonic pollution of evil bombards us,
so depressing we’d all get discouraged
but for the signs of God to be seen.

Einstein was looking for the “unifying force”,
the thing that holds it all together.
Well, the answer to his query
is “The Word”, God’s Son forever.

All creation was made through Jesus
and He holds it in His hands;
nothing made was made without Him,
if not Him then no one can.

Jesus, The Word, became flesh among us,
kept the law for you and me;
was totally human like all people,
but also 100% spotless Divinity.

It’s hard for us to fathom,
completely God, completely man;
but man brought sin into the world,
a perfect man paid sins demand.

God in the flesh came but was hardly noticed,
His eyes always on our prize,
and the prize would cost Him plenty, but
He gladly paid it, nullifying satan’s lies.

His love for us and the Father
can be seen in the name He gave calvary,
He called it “the joy set before Him”
though it’s where He was crucified for you and for me.

But for us a happy ending
if we trust and walk with Him,
knowing God’s plan is perfect,
our purpose, glorifying, enjoying Him.

The journey itself’s a blessing
our eyes are opened wide,
good or bad times not our focus
knowing God will make it right.

And we discover things about us
we’d never dreamed were true,
the cure for our pain was painful,
but it was the pain that Christ endured.

And we can relax a bit in knowing
it’s not here we’re meant to be,
the Triune God in heaven calls us,
we’ll be with Him for eternity.

About menmourningmoments

I'm happily married, the Father of 2 sons and 2 daughters and 4 beautiful grandchildren. Death is all around us but somehow we've managed to distance ourselves from it. Men, Mourning, Moments is about how the death of my son awakened me to life & the desire to seize every moment as though it were my last. It's about making sense of life in the good times and bad and allowing GOD to carry me and teach me through the hard times in life.
