Election Results

There’s a side of me that thinks why is the liberal media, Hollywood elites, talking heads, pollsters…surprised with the election results. Mr. Trump surprised them when he announced his candidacy and baffled them by actually winning the republican presidential nomination despite being somewhat betrayed by many in his own party all the while the news media and politician’s satisfaction ratings plummeted.

They didn’t see it because these folks have all the answers and those with all the answers find it hard to listen, especially to anyone below them, and everyone but their fellow elitist are below them.

Unfortunately, history tells us that those that laugh last laughs loudest and, if that happens, we haven’t learned a thing. Mr. Trump won because he challenged us to be great again and to break down the walls (no pun intended) of double standards, justice for most of us and not even an indictment for the rest/elitist.

It’s time for all of us to stop listening to all our favorite talking heads….who only tell us what we want to hear and not what we need to hear to bring healing to this once great country. The Bible actually tells us how to restore/save our nation in 2 Chronicles 7: 14 “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” One third of the US voters are professing Christians so the ball is in us Christian’s court. Do we believe the Bible or not; does God do what He says He’ll do; does God still answer prayers? It’s not only possible but promised by the very God that created and sovereignly rules the universe. It’s time for all of us who call ourselves Christian to step out and obey. Our future depends on US.

About menmourningmoments

I'm happily married, the Father of 2 sons and 2 daughters and 4 beautiful grandchildren. Death is all around us but somehow we've managed to distance ourselves from it. Men, Mourning, Moments is about how the death of my son awakened me to life & the desire to seize every moment as though it were my last. It's about making sense of life in the good times and bad and allowing GOD to carry me and teach me through the hard times in life.
