Faith, Hope and Love

The Bible says faith is being sure of what’s hoped for,
being convinced of things we don’t see.

Faith is living as though we’ve already won,
it’s our mode of travel until the end has come.

Our faith’s in a God who simply can’t fail,
giving us hope with no room for despair.

Thankfully our “hopes” been decided and eternally sealed,
since our hope is a Person, our death sentence repealed.

If faith’s the way we travel, then love’s the power source,
it neutralizes evil and straightens the toughest ol’ course.

For Love provides the power to do what only God can do,
like turning the other cheek and throwing in your coat to.

God’s word says love’s the greatest, the others fall away
because in God’s kingdom it’s love that rules and reigns.

When God’s glory lights the heavens and our Hope’s within sight,
faith won’t be needed as we gaze with unspeakable delight.

So if love rules God’s kingdom,
and by love we interact,
we will forever be blessed
in the glory of that fact!

About menmourningmoments

I'm happily married, the Father of 2 sons and 2 daughters and 4 beautiful grandchildren. Death is all around us but somehow we've managed to distance ourselves from it. Men, Mourning, Moments is about how the death of my son awakened me to life & the desire to seize every moment as though it were my last. It's about making sense of life in the good times and bad and allowing GOD to carry me and teach me through the hard times in life.
